7. Disk Activity, Latency and Capacity

SQL Sentry Performance Advisor provides a revolutionary, patent-pending graphical view of your server's disk topology and activity. The Disk Activity view shows you exactly how data is moving through your disk system, highlighting bottlenecks at the database file, physical disk, or controller level.

View disk activity in real-time mode, or historical mode for any date range, and easily identify common configuration problems such as mixing busy data and transaction logs files on the same physical drive. Single click on any file to reveal a tool tip displaying current statistics, as well as highlight the corresponding file on the list view.
